Here is an overview of the most common wrappers and their main taste characteristics – something of a small orientation guide:

🌿 Connecticut Shade

• Appearance: light golden to light brown

• Taste: mild, creamy, buttery, often with notes of cedar and walnut

• For whom: beginners, or those who like light and elegant cigars

🌿 Connecticut Broadleaf (Maduro)

• Appearance: dark brown to almost black

• Taste: sweet, full, often with notes of cocoa, coffee, dried fruit and caramel

• For whom: lovers of sweetness and full body

🌿 Habano (Sun Grown)

• Appearance: medium to dark brown

• Taste: strong, spicy, earthy, with notes of pepper and roasted coffee

• For whom: more experienced smokers who like a spicier and more robust profile

🌿 Sumatra

• Appearance: medium brown to dark brown

• Taste: complex and balanced – slightly sweet, with woody and herbal notes

• For whom: those who like a more refined, but not overpowering smoke
